Question: I used a store bought cleaner and stripped the clear coat off my tile floor. What happened?

The alkalinity and/or chlorine bleach in the product acted like a paint stripper and attacked the clear coat. When cleaning floors of any type, always use a neutral pH cleaner. If it has been formulated correctly, a neutral floor cleaner is strong enough to clean dirt off the floors but will not attack the clear coat.

Thanks again for your interest in NEU Homecare.

Sincerely;
